- I was born in the town of Humacao on the Eastern shores of Puerto Rico - the Jewel of the Caribbean and grew up surrounded by music. From traditional bomba and Plena to the sounds of unforgettable salseros as El Gran Combo, Sonora Poncena, Roberto Roena, Willie Rosario, Bobby Valentin, and Hector Lavoe, to all of whom I attributes the love of salsa music. I am a professional salsa DJ for the past 22 years; I keep myself very busy playing music in clubs and working on my Internet radio station.
